Diva Descents Mountain Bike Holidays Have Made a Return

Break from organising women's mountain bike holidays was shorter than expected - whoopie!

We were ‘shocked and saddened’ when we heard that Diva Descents mountain biking holidays were taking a break, and thrilled in equal measure when we found out that they were back.

The mountain bike coaching holidays launched in 2010 and were nominated for ‘Cycling Event of the Year’ in the inaugural Total Women’s Cycling Awards.

Their founder, Sarah Muir, was nominated also for being one of the most influential women in cycling. We’ve reviewed breaks with the company, and we rate them.

Thankfully, the planned break for Diva Descents hasn’t lasted as long as expected, and muddy divas can once again book in for coaching and a week of epic riding.

Diva Descent have now hooked up with Drift Riding, and together they will be hosting a girls riding week in Morzine. In other words, the holidays back -reinforced with extra support.

Creator Muir said: “The opportunity to work with Drift riding was too good an opportunity to miss, so the ‘break’ that I’m supposed to be taking from Diva, was definitely shorted than I expected!

“Jen and Ryan [at Drift Riding] have put together an unbelievable deal and it’s an honor to be able to work with them and hopefully make this the best girls mountain bike holiday yet!”

The first holiday available is – pretty soon. If you’re free from August 29 to September 5, you can indeed still book on for a week riding dusty trails in the French alps.

Women signing up will stay in five star accommodation, and will enjoy cooked breakfasts and 3 course dinners along with a weeklong lift pass, five mornings of coaching, and a session at the local pump track.

There is an in-house mechanic, message and transfers are covered. The whole package costs £599.

This holiday, and others, are open to all abilities. Experience is beneficial – you’ll have more fun if you’ve been riding beforehand – but everyone will be catered for.
