The season of bikeporn and excitement is well under way, with the latest MTB additions for 2017 coming from Specialized bikes.
Specialized bikes are an extremely progressive brand when it comes to women’s mountain biking. In the past couple years, they’ve really worked hard to listen to customer feedback and tailor both their bikes and kit to suit our needs. While the American giant appear to struggle with the cultural differences between the US and UK when it comes to kit style, their bikes have been going from strength to strength.
We headed down to their 2017 launch to check out the newest models for women’s mountain biking.
Specialized Ruze Expert 6Fattie
The Ruze Expert 6Fattie has been designed with durability and versatility in mind. It’s your go-to bike for all day adventuring, a quick pootle around town, and even your fun blast around the trail centre.
The aluminium frame houses 100mm travel on a pair of Manitou Magnum forks. The brake system is SRAM DB3 with 180mm rotor up front and 160mm in rear. With a SRAM GX 1×10 drive train, there’s enough gear range to have you gliding up those mountains.
The chunky 27.5″ x 3.0″ tyres are heavy duty, but they allow for greater traction and rolling ability over those rougher sections.
Sizes: Small – Large
Price: £1800
