8 Best Women’s MTB Helmets of 2016

Protect your noggin with the newest line of trail lids

Wearing a helmet is the bare essential for riding your mountain bike, and we’d recommend it when riding any bike for that matter.

It doesn’t have to be a clunky awkward fit that leaves you feeling more like a bobble-head than a trail shredding dare devil. The growing women’s scene in MTB means provision of kit has come on leaps and bounds with more stylish options and protective gear available.

We’ve rounded up our favourite 2016 MTB trail helmets which will have you looking great, and well protected for the year ahead.

Designed for the new Joy Ride campaign, the new Bell Super 2 for women is finished in two tempting colour schemes: white/blue and gunmetal/teal.

The Bell Super has 23 vents around the helmet, allowing for a great deal of air flow to circulate on those warm days. Constructed with hard wearing polycarbonate shell, and MIPS technology (Multi-directional Impact Protection System), you can be sure this lid will be able to take a couple of bashing on the trails.

This trail helmet weighs 360g and comes fitted with a detachable camera mount so you can capture those rides.
