5 Wild Mountain Bike Holidays in Europe

Not sure where you and your bike should go on holiday this year?

For many of us, going on holiday is a major highlight of our year. It’s a chance to get out of your routine, explore, experience and have a whole lot of fun. If lying around on a beach sounds boring to you, why not soak up the rays on your mountain bike and venture to trails unknown.

MTB touring holidays are becoming ever more popular. They offer professional guiding, amazing scenery, unfamiliar terrain and of course, the sunshine. Organised tours are also a great way to meet new people who too share the passion for the two-wheeled lifestyle.

We’ve rounded up a few guided mountain bike holidays around Europe to give you some idea of what you’re missing.

Adventure Creators

Where: The Pyrenees

Founded by a team of dedicated outdoor enthusiasts, Adventure Creators offer a broad range of activities: horse riding trips, hiking adventures and mountain bike guiding. Nestled between the French and Spanish boarder, the Pyrenees offer outstanding views and many miles of trail fun.

Adventure Creators not only offer mixed guided groups, but they are one of the few to offer women’s specific trips as well. This year they have two: Women’s MTB Holiday and Women’s MTB Coaching. Both trips start from 710 euros which include airport transfer, accommodation, guided riding and evening meals. You even have the option of hiring a full-suspension MTB if you didn’t fancy bring your own.

The Sierra Nevada range is dry, dusty, loose and rocky. It has everything to test your skill and endurance as you spend your days riding, and your evenings chilling out at the villa. They have a number of trips scheduled throughout the year varying in duration, and with costs starting at £630.
