At the dawn of November, we launched #TWCMotivember – our very own Total Women’s Cycling campaign that is all about inspiring women in our community (online and offline!) to stay motivated and keep riding through the chilly month.
We’ve been filling the site with content to inspire you to get out there and enjoy the winter miles, and help you get through the tougher moments associated with cold weather riding. On social media, we asked you to send in your own riding pictures by tagging them with #TWCMotivember on Twitter and Intsagram or by posting them as comments on our Facebook page.
We’re giving out a spot prize every week, with gifts from Torq, plus Camelback and Giro accessories.
Week’s One Winner: Laura Bishop
Laura shared this image on our Facebook thread, with the comment “braving the jumps at Flyup 417.”
We loved the atmosphere created by the picture – and of course Laura’s awesomeness in braving the jumps.
Week Two Winner: Lina B
Week 3 Winner: BuckBeakMTB
Week 4 Winner: mudchalkandgears
We love this picture, but it was the caption that won it for us here:
“‘Well behaved women seldom make history’ Laurel Thatcher Ulrich (feminist historian – Harvard University). I won’t make wider social history but in my own life I am extremely happy to see myself and be seen by others as a woman who is not ‘well behaved’ … Bring on the mud, sweat and gears!!!! “
