Would you Wear a Cycling Skirt?

Do you think a cycling skirt is a hit or a miss?

I came across this little number while perusing the internet a few days ago. Over the past couple of years I have seen the emergence of skirts in running and trekking ranges so it was only  a matter of time before the bike industry followed suit.

And if you haven’t already, you must check out Penny in Yo’ Pants for a simple solution to cycling in your favourite, everyday skirt.

Moxie Cycling recently launched an expanded line of women’s cycling apparel that includes an adjustable cycle skirt which can be adjusted between 7 and 24 inches, depending on how ris-kay you are feeling.

Jokes aside, the adjustable length is so you can opt for the longer length post ride when you don’t fancy faluting the full extent of your pins in the coffee shop!

The skirt is liner free so the idea is that is can be worn over your favourite pair of

shorts. For those who feel  a little self conscious in lycra shorts it could go some way to solving that problem as it will hide a multitude of sins. My issue however lies with how practical is actually is on the bike. I would imagine it gets in the way somewhat.

If anyone has tried a cycling skirt, do let us know how you got on. And if you haven’t do you think you would give one a chance? We would love your thoughts in the comments section below.
