Free Bike-riding classes for Bristolians

Live in Bristol? Need some tuition in bike basics, or know someone who does? Life Cycle UK can get you sorted for free.

Bristol charity Life Cycle UK’s cycle training programme for adults and children is now free.

An hour’s one-to-one coaching with one of Life Cycle’s professional urban cycling now costs Bristolians just an hour of their time, thanks to extra funding from Bristol City Council. The session covers a broad range of topics and is catered to each individual’s ability.

Bristol’s Mayor, George Ferguson says: “Bristol should be a city where everyone of any age feels safe to cycle. I understand that if you are used to the enclosure of a car, cycling may feel less safe but it’s easy to learn to cycle with confidence. Cycle training isn’t just for children; it’s for everybody who wants to switch to healthy and convenient transport for at least some journeys.”

Life Cycle UK has trained over 300 adults and 1000 children within the last two years, ranging from complete beginners to those seeking to improve their rush hour strategies and refine their road technique.
