Last weekend, over 40 female riders took to the roads of Grimsby with Dame Sarah Storey and the Podium Ambition pro cycling team.

The ride was organised by HMT St Hugh’s Hospital and took Storey, Podium Ambition and a mass of Breeze champions and riders on a 15 mile route around the local area.

Podium Ambition Pro Cycling is made up of a roster of incredible elite athletes, including professional cyclists such as Dame Sarah Storey, Katie Archibold, and Sara Headley. The team, who recently announced their partnership with Boardman Bikes, showed up in their pink kits and new Boardman set-ups for the ride.

With Storey leading the ride, HMT Hospital believes that having the opportunity to ride with inspiring athletes is the perfect way to get more women involved with cycling.

Athletes, such as Dame Sarah Storey and Katie Archibold, are passionate about promoting women’s cycling. The Breeze network aims to encourage more women to ride reguarly for hobby, sport and for fun.
