For those in-between days when the temperature says it’s warmer than it feels, you cannot go wrong with the Fiandre W Light Jacket from Sportful.

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t looking forward to reviewing this jacket. The Sportful Fiandre Light Jacket looks great and it packed full of great features. On Sportful’s website they sell you this jacket by saying “if you could pick one jacket for all your fall, winter and spring riding, this would be it” and I could not agree more, despite being a full-on skeptic when companies make claims like this but on this occasion I’d have to agree.

This Sportful Fiandre lightweight jacket will protect you from the wind and with good water repellency (note this is not marketed as a waterproof) and a waterproof zipper, you’ll definitely stay nice and snug. This jacket is made with lightweight and breathable Windstopper® fabric which not only keeps the elements out, it will stop you from overheating. I particularly like the fact that the fabric has an element of stretch to it making it extra comfy.

If that’s not enough, there are some great additional features including two rear pockets, and a handy phone size pocket on the side to keep your valuables nice and safe. Importantly, there is a very effective reflective strip down the back which is extremely helpful when out riding in the winter months when daylight hours are limited.

I’m a size 10-12 and 5 “8 and was wearing a medium which was a perfect size for me.  I often struggle for find jerseys and jackets that are long enough for me, especially when in a riding position. This jacket comes up trumps again here with an added ‘long-tail’, which is particularly handy to keep your derriere dry when it rains!

It might not be the cheapest jacket on the shelf however, for me this jacket offers fantastic value for money. Lightweight, breathable, comfy and stylish, this jacket will take you from autumn through spring.
