Liv, is the women’s specific range developed by Giant Bicycles, so it has pretty strong credentials. This shows straight away with the Liv Raceday Jersey. The smart design is the first obvious feature which whilst not being overtly girly, does have nice splashes of colour and looks very professional.
The material is the next obvious feature. The jersey is made using TransTextura™ moisture wicking fabric, which feels soft and fleecy on the inside, but is smooth on the outside. It feels lovely against your skin, and does a great job of wicking moisture away from your skin.
The jersey has a number of technical features including a full length zip, three decent sized rear pockets and a silicon waste gripper to prevent the jersey riding up while riding.
I have worn this almost constantly since getting it and love the feel and look of it. It works well under a windproof or waterproof without feeling damp or getting cool. On particularly cold rides I have worn an additional skin tight base layer under it.
The medium size which I have is a relaxed size twelve, so if you are seeking a more race fit feel I would size down slightly.
My only gripe is that the washing instructions state hand-wash only. Clearly this never happens in real life, so has gone in the wash with my other sports kit on a gentle cycle so far. The jersey has not suffered for this (yet), but equally the whiteness is likely to dull after a while because of this I suspect.
VerdictThe Liv Raceday Long Sleeved jersey is a super late season jersey with great wicking properties and a fantastic soft fleecy feel against the skin.
