A wonderfully light base layer, the Odlo Evolution X-Light is so barely there, I would often forget I was wearing it. Weighing just 66g, it’s not hard to see why.
And I found it worked as well on hot sunny days as a layer to wick away sweat as it did on chillier rides to add a layer of cosiness – in fact, whatever the conditions, I’ve used this as my starting point and built my outfit up from it.
Extremely comfortable against the skin, the Odlo Evolution X-Light is seamless on the sides as it’s made using what they describe as ‘3D circular knitting technology’, essentially a tube, then the sleeves are flat hemmed on (and care instructions are printed directly onto the material) so there’s nothing to rub or chafe .
The Odlo Evolution X-Light has an ergonomic fit and panels of subtle mesh under the breasts, down the spine and across the lower back. They’re not hugely noticeable when you’re wearing it, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing.
It’s available in three colours (red, yellow and white) and the only negative thing I can find to say about this excellent top is that the white, despite always being worn under a jersey, is really hard to keep clean.
