If you are looking for a commuter jacket that will keep you warm and dry and look good too, then British brand, Vulpine might have just what you are looking for. Launched in 2012 by Nick Hussey, the brand prides itself on using technical fabrics to produce high end, stylish cycling apparel.

Some of the brand’s range has received a mixed response from you so far, but the latest offering – The Harrington Rain Jacket will prove popular with the masses.

Made from a high end cotton, this jacket is wind, water and (thankfully) stain resistant. I have worn it in and out of work on my 6 mile commute for the past couple of weeks and am happy to report that this jacket is a winner.

The size small is admittedly a little snug on my size 10 frame, and is probably more suited to somebody a little more petite, but despite this it is comfortable and the fabric provides just enough give to allow ample freedom of movement.

Elsewhere features such as sealed zips, magnetic fastenings, fleece lined cuffs and additional ‘aesthetic’ pockets with a button closures set this jacket apart from other offerings on the market. The overall ‘look’ of this jacket has been carefully considered. There is even a button fastening on either side of the jacket which allows it to be cinched in so it sits neatly on your body.

VERDICT:

Overall this jacket is a winner. It really does as it promises to do – keep you warm, dry and won’t look out of place on city streets.

PROS:

The jacket is very comfortable and performs really well, even in adverse weather conditions.

CONS:

It doesn’t come cheap! The jacket is also a little on the bulky side so will be too heavy for summer riding and is not ideal if you are hoping to stash in your commuting bag.
