Specialized have been a giant in the cycling world for decades, having first set up shop back in the mid-70s. Their first women’s bikes arrived in the early 2000s, and since then, they’ve come on in huge strides.

Keen to involve women in decisions around product and marketing, they’ve just recruited a new¬†Women’s Brand Manager, Vanessa Christie and we’ve got some words from her on her appointment and goals in their ‘Brand Story’. They’ve also done a great deal of research into female specific bikes, and use rider data to back up their decisions, as well as working with pro female riders to develop ‘S Works’ kit that absolutely works.

It’s not just all about the bike though, Specialized offer kit and components to go with them, and all contact points sit under their ‘Body Geometry’ umbrella – again with a wide offering for women available, all based on data.
