In 1999, Santa Cruz teamed up with retired mountain bike legend, Juli Furtado. Having secured herself a record number of wins in her career, Juli helped develop the first ever women’s specific mountain bike: The Juliana.

The bike’s success planted a seed that would be nurtured into a brand designed to cater specifically for the female mountain shredder. In 2013, the first fleet of Juliana bicycles were unleashed on the world.
