The latest offering from Wiggle’s own brand, dhb, will guarantee to get you noticed. Here in the TWC office, we happen to think the design is to die for but we do realise it is not everybody’s cup of tea.
Equipped with polka dots, stripes and neon splashes, there is quite a lot going on! When we had finished swooning over the aesthetics of this jersey it was time to see if it was simply a matter of style of substance with this racy little number.
First up was the fit. From the moment I popped on the jersey, I was comfortable. The length was perfect with a drop down at the back to ensure my ever-growing muffin top stays hidden from the world when I am on the drops. A silicone gripper on the hem also assisted in this department.
The fabric itself was incredibly comfortable and breathable. I started out in the early morning, needless to say I was freezing. This was followed by a balmy ride when the sun came up but the jersey wicked away sweat without a problem and the full zip aided ventilation when needed.
Being the eejit that I am, I had left my saddle bag in the office over the weekend so was forced to carry all of my necessaries in the jersey pockets which were thankfully deep enough to take a gilet, spare tube, multi-tool, pump, arm and leg warmers, banana, energy bar, and well yes everything except the kitchen sink. An additional zip pocket came in handy for my phone, keys and cash. Again the jersey performed well and even with all of that kit stuffed in the pockets, I was comfy throughout my ride.
A great jersey. dhb are renowned for their no fuss, high performance products, and yet again they deliver just that.
The fit is true to size. Performs exceptionally well in mixed weather conditions.
After just one ride I noticed some distress to the fabric at the front so I am not sure how well the colour/ pattern will hold over time.
