The racing action of the Enduro World Series shifts to Colorado, US, and the battle between Moseley and Chausson continues.

It’s hard to believe that Round 5 of the Enduro World Series has come around already. It seems like the season had only just begun, and now, after the racing at the Colorado Freeride Festival, there are only two more races to go.

The weather was hot, the trails were dry, and the racing was hard over the three days of the event.

With a gap in the UCI Downhill World Cup Calender for most of July, a number of riders shifted discipline to try their skills at Enduro, including Australian DH race Tracey Hannah.

Things didn’t get off to a great start for series leader Tracy Moseley. Her first run was interrupted by a race marshal who attempted to herd her off the track, perhaps mistaking her for a non-competitor. She still managed to place third for the stage, however, which is an indication of the skill and fitness of the competitors.

The battle of the weekend was fought between Tracy Moseley and Anne-Caroline Chausson, who have been vying for points since the series start.

Chausson took the win on 3 of the 7 stages, and placed 2 in all the other stages, which gave her the overall Round 5 lead and the top spot on the podium.

Although Moseley also took 3 stage wins and 3 second place spots, she didn’t manage to recover enough time from the first stage setback and took second place.

Anneke Beerten and Cecile Ravanel battled it out for third and fourth spots, with Beerten pipping Ravenel to the post.

Downhiller Tracey Hannah narrowly missed out on placing in the top 5 to Rosara Joseph.

1. Anne-Caroline Chausson – 50.01.966
2. Tracy Moseley – 50.13.645
3. Anneke Beerten – 51.06041
4. Cecile Ravenel – 51.25.507
5. Rosara Joseph – 52.21.687
