Yesterday we woke up to the news that British Elite racer, Manon Carpenter, had her garage broken into, and all her bikes stolen... ALL her bikes, including her mum's and her dad's.
It's horrible when anyone has a bike stolen, but it's worse when a professional athlete, like Manon, has her entire fleet stolen overnight. All her race bikes, training bikes, family bikes and motocross bikes were stolen. These bikes are how she makes her living, and it's awful to think someone could go and clean out her garage.
It's speculated that the bikes were taken sometime on Sunday evening, and reported to the police yesterday. The break-in occurred at her home in Caerphilly where she grew up, which is even more of an insult when the family is well-known and the town has watched Manon flourish from a young ripper to World Champion.
