The thought of riding in the cold and the wet doesn’t sound very appealing to many of us. However, if you’re well prepared, looking good and feeling comfortable, there shouldn’t be anything stopping you from hitting the trails this winter.
The new video from Fox showcases some of their exciting new clothing for women, proving to us that you can be stylish and comfortable while riding during the colder months.
And who better to represent fun winter riding, than British Elite racer, and one of the most exciting riders out there, Tahnée Seagrave?!
Living for the thrill of racing from a young age, Tahnée grew up in the MTB mecca of Morzine, France. From her early races, it was clear that Thanée was destined for gold, which is why her parents established Follow My Dream racing (FMD) in 2009. Since then we’ve seen this blonde daredevil shred her way up the ranks, up to the the top podium spot in 2013, as Junior World Cup Winner. Since then she’s been hot on the heels on Manon Carpenter and Rachel Atherton in the elite division, putting on the heat and giving them some real competition.
This year we’ve seen real fire in the 20 year old racer. Securing herself numerous podium finishes in the UCI World Cup series, even placing second at Fort William, a track which suffered from downpour and a boggy blown out course. Fort Bill was a high profile round of the World Cup for Tahnée, as she rode for the CoppaFeel charity: raising awareness for breast cancer, whilst encouraging women to check themselves regularly, and correctly. Raffling off her Devinci custom bike and race kit, Tahnée raised a staggering £10,000 for the cause.
Tahnée Seagrave finished 2015, her second year of Elite racing, ranked fourth in the World. That’s one rank up from last year’s fifth place, and with her fluid and rapid riding style, we can’t see her stopping until she reaches the top spot. So watch out Rachel!
