At the end of last year BikeBiz – a cycling industry publication – asked those in the know to pick the most influential people in the world of biking to create its first ever Brit List.
Voters were tasked with identifying those who inspire and influence the rest of the cycling world. Nominees could be from any background, whether in manufacturing, distribution, retail, journalism, blogging, or campaigning – everyone was eligible.
Influential women in cycling
The BikeBiz Brit List was launched at a party on Thursday 13th February at the London Bike Show and we wanted to take the time out to celebrate the women that were featured.
Out of the 50 individuals featured, only 8 were women. We wonder whether this is an indication of how few women work in the industry or a reflection as to how those who voted value their work?
