Rather than pick up a protein bar, or pre-made post workout treat, make your own delicious snacks.
If working out, or having a hard cycle session wasn't rewarding enough, top it off with home-baked power bites. We love finding new tasty recipes to try out at home, and what's better, is that they're healthy and delicious.
This week we had a go at making some delicious Cherry Chocolate Chip Protein Balls.
Total Time: 35 minutes
No baking or cooking required for this recipe - hurray! All you need is a pair of hands that are willing to get messy.
- 20g - 40g of Chopped Dried Montmorency Tart Cherries
- 85g Rolled Oats
- 85g Shredded Coconut
- 170g All-natural Peanut Butter
- 40g Ground Flaxseed
- 40g Chocolate Chips
- 115g Honey
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
Once all the ingredients have been carefully weighed and measured, add them into a large mixing bowl.
Mix all the ingredients together until well blended and thoroughly mixed.
Pop the bowl into the fridge to cool down for roughly 30 mins.
Once chilled, roll balls of the mixture into whatever size you like, or use an ice-cream scoop for moulding into shape.
Store your cherry chocolate protein balls in an airtight container, and keep refrigerated for up to 1 week.
